Rupee opens at Rs 48.89 per dollar

The Indian rupee opened at Rs 48.89 per dollar versus Rs 48.66 Friday.

On Friday, the spot rupee ended higher at Rs 48.66 per USD as against its previous close of Rs 48.91 per USD.

According to Subramaniam Sharma, Greenback Forex, the rupee could see marginal gains on positive equity market cues. Rs 48.50 per dollar is a key level to watch. The range for the day is seen between Rs 48.30-48.80 per dollar.
